Pains Wessex provides Pyrotechnic Distress Signals and other type of emergency equipment:

·         Red Handflare Mk8 is a short range pyrotechnic signal which produce a hot and red flame for 60 seconds at 15,000 candela and it follows the 74/88 SOLAS requirements

·         Para Red Rocket Mk8A is a long range pyrotechnic signal which shoots a red flame at 300m and it burns during 40 seconds at 30.000 candela intensity. It follows the 74/88 SOLAS requirements

·         Lifesmoke Mk8 (floatable) is a compact, safe and easy to use smoke signal. It follows the SOLAS 74/88 requirements and produce a dense orange smoke during 3 minutes

·         Light and Smoke Signal for ‘Manoverboard’ Buoy is used to mark the position of a man at the sea. It is tested to support a 50m fall (SOLAS requirement – 30m) and provide 15m of a dense orange smoke

·         Linethrower 250 allows a line-throwing between boats, from boat to land, in rescue missions, among other situations. It has a shooting range from 230 to 250 meters and follows the SOLAS 74/88 requirements
